Cary Track Out info

Good morning All!

Hope everyone is having a great day this far.

I need to apologize of lack of posts and pictures since track 4 has started. We have had some technical difficulty getting things up, but that is no excuse for not keeping you up to date with what is going on at camp. So, I'm going to try and do my best at filling you in on what has been going on at TO over the past week.

Last week, we started practice with our pillo polo team, who will be competing next Thursday against Highcroft track out. The team has been practicing every other day for about a week now. They are looking great. We also have a cheer squad that has been gathering all their cheers and working hard on creating some team spirit to help cheer on our team next week.

Joe started the Pinewood Derby rank, where campers can come and create their own car to race at the end of the track. These campers have been working diligently at craving and painting their cars over the past week. Cannot wait to see how they come out.

Last Friday, we had our Get Fit, Get Active special event where all the campers had a chance to be active and mark off their scoresheet to earn their "camper medal" for participating. We had a variety of activities such as sit ups, push ups, mile run, and many more. It was a great way I work off those extra holiday calories;)

Even though last week was short weeks, we made sure to make the best of it.

This week started off with some great weather, lots of music and a ton of enthusiasm.
Campers are continuing to earn snowballs for their huddle challenge and as of today, the Columbia's (2/3) are in the lead:)

Some of the ranks we have had this week are pillo polo, pinewood derby, fitness fun, basketball, drama and improv and creative arts. We also had swimming and field trips. Lots of choices...

Our party planning committee with the help of Kathryn has been working hard at planning our Snowflake ball tomorrow, which is sure to be some fun! They have asked that everyone wear as much white as possible...white out is happening at track out:)

As I type, everyone is enjoying ranks and older is swimming.
Today is sure to be a great day. The weather is perfect:)
Until next time;)
Happy Thursday!
